GIRAFFE ARK GAME LODGE-NYERI

At the heart of the famous plains of Kieni in Nyeri county,is Giraffe Ark Game lodge. It is located on the Nyeri-Nyahururu highway,3 kilometres from Mweiga town in the heart of Mt Kenya. It boasts of large expansive grounds with beautiful views of the Aberdares.
A narrow rocky road leads the way to the resort going downhill then uphill before opening up to serene countryside flora and fauna.As the name suggests two large sculptured giraffes stand magnificently on each side of the gate.
In terms of accommodation there is a wide selection with over 30 rooms available. There is a presidential suite for those who are ready to dig dipper into their pockets. Camping is also available on the resort. There is an expansive swimming pool which is also a great sitting area for guests while partaking their meals .
Their signature outdoor Chess game is an attraction to many of their guests. Other activities available are game drives to the adjacent Aberdare National Park and Solio ranch. Bird watching and horse riding are also popular for those who are in love with nature.
